We are seeking a Director to join our International Tax Services team. As a Director, you will be responsible for:
Fostering and supporting a strong, team-oriented, high-achieving national tax practice group Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues in the core federal tax group and other practice areas as resource that supports the U.S. international tax technical needs of their clients Supporting overall ITS practice with complex U.S. international tax matters through deep tax technical knowledge and experience and regular monitoring of legislative and other developments Performing tax research and collaborating with other subject matter experts in order to develop novel solutions to complex client challenges Overseeing and driving multiple on-going projects through effective, coordinated, development-oriented collaboration with professional staff Advising clients and their stakeholders on cross-border tax planning matters while helping them understand and navigate the relevant decision-making process Supporting ITS Practice leadership in practice-related and firm initiatives including training, go to market strategies and thought capital Carrying out market-facing and business development activities as subject matter expert
Qualifications
Preferred JD/LLM or CPA/Masters in Taxation A minimum of 10 years of focused tax technical experience in U.S. international tax Previous experience in an ITS National Tax Office Position Deep knowledge outbound international taxation with strong inbound and domestic taxation Strong research, writing, and Microsoft Office applications skills Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in an accessible manner Client-centric, proactive and flexible professional service approach Strong drive for excellence in tax technical ability, relationship building, and the development of new and experienced staff professionals Ability to develop and deepen existing and new client relationships along with other verticals and lines of service Outstanding analytical skills Strong business acumen Highly motivated
